No. 5 BREDGAR,a 0-4-0 Baguley Drewry diesel locomotive (Works no. 3775).It spent most of it's working life on the Ministry of Defence metre gauge line at Milford Haven.Joined B&WLR in 1991 and regauged to 2ft. Decauville 0-4-2T Victory.Built by the Societe Nouvelle des Etablissment Decauville-Aine of Corbeil,France in 1897 (works number 246),it was exported to Australia where it worked at Frederick Buss' Invicta Mill,Queensland.It was withdrawn from Qunaba Mill,Bundaberg in the late 1940's,and in 1963 was sold to a Tod Watson who lent it to a Canberra theme park line from 1980-5.In 1996 it joined the stock of at Bredgar,and after a total rebuild entered service in 2007. LIMPOPO. No. 6 EIGIAU,an 0-4-0 Well tank of 1912 built by Orenstein & Koppel in Germany (Works no. 5668).It spent all it's working life in North Wales,mostly hauling trains of slate at Penrhyn Quarries in Caenarfonshire.In 1963 it went to Bressingham Gardens until arriving at Bredgar in 1995. No 105 SIAM. This 2ft 6 inch gauge loco is too big to run at Bredgar,but has been on loan at the Weslhpool & Llanfair Railway a couple of times.It is an 0-6-0 Henschell built in Germany in 1956.Spent all it's working life on a large sugar cane estate at Chon Buri near Bangkok,Thailand,before coming to the UK for preservation in 1989. Number 2 KATIE,a German loco built in 1931 by Arne Jung.Worked in sugar cane plantations in Cameroon.Preserved in UK in 1973,arrived at Bredgar in 1980.Out of use at the time of my visit awaiting new boiler tubes.
